Valentine Invitational

The Valentine Invitational is one of the most prestigious amateur events in the mid-Atlantic region. The tournament has been hosted by Hermitage Country Club since the event began in 1931.  The Valentine is a 54-hole medal play tournament and a VSGA Player Ranking Event.

The Valentine has an established identity as a premier invitational – not just in Virginia but along the East Coast.  This year’s event has undoubtedly the strongest and most-geographically diverse field in the event’s illustrious history, and Hermitage’s best players will join elite Mid-Amateurs (aged 25 and older) and Seniors from California to Florida, Texas to Ontario.  In all, the 108 players in this year’s field hail from 15 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.

As the Valentine Invitational gains momentum as a must-play event on a national scale, we thank the Valentine Executive Committee for making this tournament a fun experience for our membership, allowing all of us to get up close and personal with the players.
